Autumn Leaves Card

This delightful and easy-to-make greeting card is perfect for about any fall season occassion.So let's get started! You will need the following items:

A4 card in burnt orange or another fall color

Paper with leaf print

Fiskars 4 in 1 corner embossing punch ~ Glory

4- 2" die cut leaves (1-leaf print, 1-burgundy, 1-mustard, 1-beige)

4 pieces of brown cardstock to matte leaves

Ancient Gold ~ Enchanted Gold embossing powder

Embossing tool

Brown ink pad

Swirly stamp (I used Autumn Leaves (Rhonda Farrer) Swirls v.2)

Foam tape

Scissors (these Fiskars Microtip scissors are my favorite for cutting in small areas!)

Paper Glue

Directions:

Cut burnt orange cardstock to A4 size (8 1/4" w  x  5 1/2" tall), then score and fold with open side on the right.

Cut a piece of leaf print paper to 5 1/2" tall and 4" wide, then tear the right side. Ink the edges with the brown ink pad.

Glue the leaf paper to the front of the burnt orange card, the torn side to the right.

You will need your Enchanted Gold embossing powder ready for the next step.

Stamp swirls on the right edge of the card with brown ink, the quickly pour embossing powder on the ink while it's still wet. Shake off the excess and melt the powder with your embossing tool.

Punch 4 leaves with a large craft punch and matte them onto brown paper (just glue them on the paper and trim all around the edges about 2/16" from the edge of each leaf). You will want 1 leaf made from the leaf paper, 1 burgundy, 1 mustard, and 1 beige leaf.

Ink each leaf with the brown ink pad and emboss with the Ancient Gold, and melt the powder as you did before.

Attach the burgundy, mustard and beige leaves to the front of the card with foam tape so they have a nice 3-D appearance.

Glue the leaf made from the leaf print paper to the inside of the card with paper glue.

For an extra fun touch, after you seal the card in it's envelope, turn the envelope over and stamp a swirl and then emboss with the ancient gold.

If desired, use an embossing corner punch on the four corners of the card. Now you're good to go! A quick, easy card that looks great and will lift spirits with it's fun sparkle!
