Silent Night Christmas Card
This Christmas card has a more simple style, but evokes a peaceful feeling. It is very simple to make and doesn't take much time at all. You will need:
Glitter Cardstock (I used DCWV Glitter Stack)
White Cardstock
Dark Blue Cardstock
EK Success Snowflake Pop-Up Punch
Terrifically Tacky Tape 1/4" wide
Blue Bookplate/Frame
2 Silver Mini Brads
Foam Tape Adhesive
Loose Silver Micro Beads (glitter or seed beads work too)
Directions:
Make an A4 sized card from Glitter Cardstock.
Cut a piece of white card stock 5 1/2" x 2 1/4".
Punch 3 pop-up snowflakes as evenly spaced as you can.
Put Terrifically Tacky Tape around the whole edge or the white cardstock.
Remove the top layer from the Tacky Tape.
Set card into a container (to catch all the loose beads or glitter) and pour the beads all over the tacky tape, checking to make sure all the areas are covered.
After shaking off the excess beads or glitter, glue a piece of 5" x 2" dark blue cardstock to the back of the white cardstock and glue in place. The blue paper makes the snowflake design show up even better.
Use foam tape to adhere the white cardstock to the top front of your greeting card.
Place a blue book plate on the front of your card and attach with two silver brads.
Make a white piece of cardstock to fit inside the frame. You can put a little bit of paper glue on the back to make it stay in place. White "Silent Night" on the white cardstock with a silver pen. (If you don't like the silver brad prongs to show on the inside of your card, you can either bend the prongs just to the back of the book plate and glue the book plate on, or you can cut a pretty piece of matching cardstock inside of your card to hide the prongs.)
That's it! I hope you enjoyed making this card. If you have a card pattern that you would like to share, please email me with the instructions, products used, and a small picture of the finished project.
