Wedding Dress Card

For this card, you will need

5" x 7" White Card

2 sheets of 8.5" x 11" Vellum Paper

Peach Roses Paper

Lace Border Punch

White Pearl Tulip Fashion Bead Paint

Tiny Copper Hanger

4" .5mm Pearl Bead String

Small Piece of White Mulberry or White Felt

Glue

Instructions:

5" x 7" card will be lengthwise, with the fold on the left.

Cut a piece of peach rose paper to 4.5" x 6.5" and glue to the front of your card.

Cut one of your vellum pieces of paper to 7" wide (just cut off 1.5"). Punch the bottom and top of the paper (the 11") with your lace edge punch. Then score a line down the center and fold it. Place over the front and back of the white card. You can attach it in the center with glue, or use a special vellum adhesive if desired.

Dot the whole way around the card in approximately 1/2" increments with the Tulip Pearl Paint. Be very careful here! This paint can take up to 4 hours to dry!

Now cut the dress bodice (see pattern below) from white felt or white mulberry paper. I used  thick white mulberry paper, copied the pattern onto the back of the paper and wet around the edge, then tore the paper around the wet  edges.

Glue 1 1/2" string of .5mm pearls around the neckline and another 1" segment at the waist line.

For the skirt, cut one skirt from your vellum paper, then make borders out of the vellum paper with your lace edge punch and cut them to the appropriate lengths, using the skirt template as a guide ~ starting at the bottom of the skirt. Let one border hang below the skirt, then layer the lace borders the whole way up to the top of the skirt and glue on. You can always go back and trim along the edge of the skirt for a nice clean look. 

Attach the skirt to the bodice with glue,  overlapping the bodice with the top egde of the skirt underneath.

When you are finished making the dress, attach it to the front of the card at an angle, placing foam adhesive on the underside. You can also attach the hanger with the foam adhesive.

This card takes longer to make, but will be a beautiful card for a wedding, engagement, or any other special occasion.
